Fly to Xi’an in the morning. After lunch, visit Terracotta Army. There is an opportunity to view archaeologists at work excavating the huge tomb of first Emperor Qin, builder of the Great Wall. See thousands of life sized terracotta soldiers and their horses, which served as the imperial bodyguards to this ancient emperor. (L/D)

01 Nov., 2010 Xi’an/Dunhuang
This morning, your tour is to the Xian Forest of Stele Museum, which is well known for a fine collection of more than 1,000 inscribed stones engraved over the period of the Han to the Qing Dynasties. You will continue to Xian City Wall, which dates back to the Ming Dynasty. There will be time to walk round some of the 13¾-kilometre wall, between the watchtowers and gates or over the moats. After lunch, you will fly to Dunhuang ,upon arrival,transfer to Hotel. (B/L/D)

02 Nov., 2010 Dunhuang
Today’s excursion will take you to the world’s cultural heritage Mogao Caves. According to Tang Dynasty records, a monk had witnessed onsite a vision of thousand Buddhas under showers of golden rays. After lunch the lectures held by Dunhuang Academy:
1.protection of Dunhuang Caves
2. Art of Dunhunag Caves.3. Dunhuang and Silkway. (B/L/D)

Transfer to Airport and then fly to Beijing, upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.(B/L/D)

04 Nov., 2010 Beijing
After breakfast, visit Tian’anmen Square and Forbidden City. Ming Dynasty extravagance is on display with tours of the spectacular living quarters, museum and jewelery displays.After lunch, you will then proceed through the Temple of Heaven, one of the most photographed structures in China, which is located in a large park housing the impressive Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. And then you will continue your visit to Capital Museum. Enjoy a spcecial Peking Roasted Duck for dinner. (B/L/D)

05 Nov., 2010 Beijing
The highlight of today is to visit the amazing Great Wall, which is one of the eight wonders of the world and is the only man-made structure visible from the moon. This immense wall is some 3,800 miles long and was built to keep out invaders as well as to retain the inhabitants. Then you will visit the “Bird’s Nest”and “Water Cube”.(B/L/D)

06 Nov., 2010 Beijing/Shanghai
After Breakfast, you will visit the Summer Palace, the largest and best preserved of all imperial gardens, where you cruise on the placid waters of Lake Kunming (weather permitting).Transfer to the airport and fly back to Shanghai.(B)
