Fly to Beijing in the morning. On arrival in Beijing, transfer to visit Tian’anmen Square and Forbidden City. The square is surrounded by imposing buildings such as the Great Hall of the People, Museum of Chinese History, Chairman Mao Mausoleum and Front Gate. This mornings sightseeing takes in the UNESCO World Heritage site - The Yungang Grottos. After lunch visit the beautiful Shanhua Temple, one of the most intact and largest preserved temple of Liao and Jin dynasties in China.(B/L/D)

Morning departure, your first stop is the spectacularly dramatic Hanging Temple, named which as this architectural wonder literally hangs at the foot of Henshan Mountain. Drive on to Pingyao, one of only four wholly protected ancient cities in China, you will have time to visit Family Qiao’s Garden Courtyard, where the famous film ‘The Red Lantern’ was filmed.(B/L/D)
